　　munity: A group of people living in the same locality and under the same government.(居民住在相同地区和百隶属相同政府下的一群人)
　　住宅小区不论是名称还是形式都是个舶来品，开始引进时由于基本上都是大的开发商建了一片住宅，一般叫“某某花园”，但由于花样太多度也不便管理，后来又改叫“社区”，可是此“社区”实在和它的西方祖宗相差太远，知社区这一称呼就被移植给了居委会，住宅集中地才又有了“住宅小区”这一称呼。
　　现在我想起当时上学放假期间找居委会盖道章时，人家工作人员一本正经地跟我说：“以后我们这儿版叫社区了，可别再叫居委会了。”再看看人家挂的牌子，都已经改叫“XX居委会社区”了：） 不过听说现在又改成“XX社区居委会”权了。反正是换汤不换药。
