一般过去百时表示过去发生的一个单纯的事实，多侧于动作的完成。
while it was looking at the souvenirs，the shop assitant called the police。
一个动作正在度进行，另一个动作（刚巧）也在这时发生知。
while 后面的分句道的动词一定要用一般过去时。专
同理，
when前面的分句的动词要用过去进行时。
