　　On a distant island, in a small town, there lived a beautiful little girl. She was so lovely to look at that when she smiled at the sun, the sun hid behind clouds, and when she looked at the moon, the moon covered her face. But the girl was proud. She ignored other kids who wanted to be her friend, and instead spent all over her time staring into her mirror. Days became weeks, weeks became years, and still she spent her days looking at her own face. Finally， her eighteenth birthday arrived and to celebrate, her parents held an extravagant party. But no one came. Only then did she realize her narcissism has lost her something far more valuable than beauty.
　　在遥远的一座岛屿上的一个小城镇上，住着（过去时）一位美丽的小女孩。她是那么美丽动人，她一笑，太阳就躲到云朵里，她一看月亮，月亮也遮掩自己的面孔。但是女孩很骄傲。她不顾那些想和她交友的孩子们，而花费她所有时间瞪着镜子。一天变成一个星期，一个星期蔓延成一年（英文这里有天复一天，年复一年的意思），她还是只看着自己的面孔。终于，她18岁生日到了。为了庆祝，她的父母给她开了一个隆重的生日会。但是一个人也没有来。这是她才发觉到，她的自爱让她失去了比美丽更重要的东西。

A fox and a goat
　　 An unlucky fox fell into a well, It was quite deep, so he could not get out by himself.
　　 A goat came. He asked the fox:”what are you doing? The fox said : "There will be no water, so I jumped down to get some water. Why don’t you jump down, too?"
　　 The goat jumped into the well.
　　 But the fox jumped on the goat’s back and out of the well. "Good-bye, friend," said the fox. "Remember next time don’t trust the advice of a man in difficulties."

　　狐狸和山羊
　　 一只不走运的狐狸，失足掉到了井里。井很深，他无法跳出来。
　　 一只山羊经过这里，便问狐狸在井下做什么。狐狸说：“哦，你没有听说吗？这里将要大旱，因此我跳进来取水，为什么你不下来一起喝呢？”
　　 山羊相信了狐狸的话，就真的跳进井里。狐狸立即跳上山羊的背，又一跳，跳上了井沿。
　　 “再见，朋友，”狐狸说，“记住，不要相信一个身陷麻烦的人的建议。”
