prepare for   为……作准备

for 后的宾语为准备的目的.

例如：The students are preparing for the exam.  学生们正在为考试做准备（正在备考）。

prepare well for   为……作好准备

I have already prepared well for the exam.   我已经为明天的考试做好了准备。

其中一对只加上一个副词 well, 而我们知道凡有副词就意味加重形容词。

所以，那对词有加重气味的, 当然表达上是重一点 !
