【答案】 1）whether 和if都可以后随or和or not.
区别在于whether可以直接后随or not/no,if不行.
所以常见到whether就是whether or not,而if就是if...or not
举个例子(标注*的为不能接受的用法)
He wants to know whether/*if or not we want dinner.(LEG)
I don't care whether/*if or not your car breaks down.(CGoEL)
不过换句话说,用whether 还是用if感到没有把握的时候,用whether总是保险的.至于whether和if之后用不用or not皆可,特别是whether之后尤为如此.
特别要注意：whether or not不能用在about和wonder之后
这句把or not 调到句尾为i dont care if he es or not.就可以了
